Contracts unlock through the Dispatch Portal after you complete the sample request quests that arrive in your mailbox, and each tier needs a player level plus a number of items dispatched in the previous tier. The six contracts run from Bandage (level 4) to Moonlit Soap (level 9), with daily caps between 80 and 1,600 units.
The six contracts
| Item | Units per contract | Reward | Daily max | Units/min | Level |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bandage | 50 | 12 | 800 | 33.3 | 4 |
| Gloom Spores | 50 | 18 | 1,600 | 66.7 | 5 |
| Pocket Watch | 20 | 26 | 960 | 40.0 | 6 |
| Fertile Catalyst | 20 | 60 | 1,200 | 50.0 | 7 |
| Silver Amulet | 10 | 340 | 480 | 20.0 | 8 |
| Moonlit Soap | 10 | 60 | 80 | 3.3 | 9 |
Read the Units/min column as the production rate you must sustain to keep the contract fed — it is the single most useful number on this page. Bandage needs 33.3/min, which is a real line; Moonlit Soap needs 3.3/min, which one machine covers.
Daily quests beat contracts on margin
| Quest type | Multiplier | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| Random | 130% of market price | 3 in-game days |
| Bulk | 160% of market price | 5 in-game days |
| Urgent | 200% of market price | 1 in-game day |
Quests arrive in the mailbox at 06:00 each in-game day. Urgent quests are the best per-unit price in the game, so a stockpile of sellables is worth more than an empty shelf.
Why the payout looks odd
Currency is three-tier: 1 silver = 1,000 copper and 1 gold = 100,000 copper. A contract “reward” is quoted in the game's base unit, so a 340 reward is a mid-game payout, not pocket change. Compare against the sell price of the item you are giving up before you accept.
The portal family itself is covered on 1.0 systems; contract demand for catalysts is met through the fertiliser line, which also drives Salt throughput planning.
